One script tag. Any storefront.

Your best clip, in the corner of every product page.

Crimson Video plays a muted, looping short right where people decide. One tap and it fills the screen with sound. No theme surgery, no iframe, no rebuild — you paste a line into your head tag and it is live.

How it works

Live on a product page in three steps.

Your videos live in your own storage. The dashboard handles the metadata, the poster frame and the snippet — you handle the paste.

01

Upload the clip

Drop in a portrait or landscape file. It goes straight to your own storage, and a poster frame is pulled for you so the corner never flashes black.

02

Publish when it is right

Only published videos resolve on a live page. Drafts stay private and preview inside the dashboard without moving a single view count.

03

Paste one line

The generator writes the whole snippet — corner, margin, z-index, video id. Paste it into your theme and every page carrying it has the player.

<script defer src="https://widget.ev.crimsonwren.com/v/1.6.0/widget.min.js?videoId=vid_9f2c&position=bottom-right&margin=16"></script>

The dashboard writes the real one for you, including the endpoints it needs — you copy it once and never type a URL.

The player

Built to sell, not to interrupt.

Every behaviour here is the shipped one — the corner state, the expand, the dismiss, and the way it steps back when a visitor asks for less motion.

The corner you choose

Bottom right by default, four corners on offer, your own margin, and a z-index high enough to clear a sticky header — all set from the snippet.

One tap to full screen

Minimised it loops muted, so nothing shouts at anyone. Tapped, it grows from the corner it sat in and takes the viewport with sound and real controls.

Always dismissible

Close it and a quiet “Show video” button stays behind, so a shopper who changes their mind is one click from the clip. Escape and the backdrop both close it.

Portrait or landscape

The frame sizes itself from the clip’s own aspect ratio — never wider than 280px, never taller than the room it has — and re-fits the moment the window changes.

Well mannered everywhere

Safe-area insets on phones, visible focus for keyboards, and no animation at all for visitors whose system asks for reduced motion.

Views you can trust

Counted in the browser and sent once a session as a single batch, so tracking never sits on a request a shopper is waiting for — and a replayed batch is discarded rather than counted twice.

Performance & SEO

It loads after your store, never before it.

One deferred, self-contained script with its own prefixed class names. Nothing to install, nothing to bundle into your build, nothing that can shift your layout or fight your CSS — and nothing that changes what a crawler sees.

88 KB

1 line
of HTML in your head tag — the whole integration
0 files
of your theme touched, and nothing to redeploy to change a clip
Deferred, so it never blocks render. The script is fetched after your document parses and executes after your own store’s scripts, so it cannot delay first paint or push out Largest Contentful Paint.
Fixed to a corner, so it cannot shift your layout. The player is positioned out of flow and never reflows your page, which keeps it out of your Cumulative Layout Shift entirely.
Your markup is untouched. No iframe, no injected content in your page body, no rewritten URLs. A crawler indexes exactly the product page you already had.
Served from a CDN with immutable caching. Every release is a versioned, permanently cacheable URL, so a returning shopper pays nothing to load it twice.

Optimised video rendering

Your 4K phone recording is not what your shoppers download.

Upload whatever came off the camera. Every clip is transcoded into web renditions before it ever reaches a storefront, and the corner player is deliberately frugal about which one it asks for.

Roughly four times smaller

A 22 MB upload became 5.4 MB of renditions in our own measurements. The original is destroyed once the renditions exist, so nobody is paying to store it or to serve it.

Starts before it has finished

Renditions are written with the index at the front of the file, so playback begins on the first bytes rather than after the whole clip has arrived.

Small in the corner, sharp when it matters

The minimised player streams the smaller rendition, and swaps to the larger one only when a shopper expands it — keeping its place and carrying on mid-frame.

Dashboard

Swap the clip without touching the store.

The snippet points at a video id, so the page keeps working while you change what plays behind it. Upload, retitle, tag, publish, unpublish — the storefront never needs a deploy.

Title, slug, summary, tags and the product page each clip belongs to
Draft and published states, with a private preview for drafts
Version history on every clip, so a bad swap is one click from undone
Views per clip, so you can tell a hero from a dud

Pricing

Priced on what it actually costs to deliver.
